Alastair Lukies founded Monitise in 2003. Three years later, Monitise was recognised as a ‘Technology Pioneer’ by the World Economic Forum and in June 2007 he led the company’s demerger from Morse and listing on the LSE’s AIM market. In January 2014, he was first appointed as a Business Ambassador to the Prime Minister for the financial services industry by the UK Government, and today acts as the sole Business Ambassador for FinTech. Marcus Swanepoel who has previously worked for Morgan Stanley, 3i and Standard Chartered Bank is CEO and Co-founder of BitX, a global crypto-currency platform, providing highly secure mobile wallets, institutional quality exchanges and various API’s for merchant and other business integration. The customers around the world use this platform for faster and cheaper money transfers, buying online, and trading and storing their Bitcoin. His team built the first ever fully-integrated Bitcoin / Blockchain system for a major multinational bank.
